Bahraini student Faisal Dhafer Al-Ajmi, a second-year preparatory student at Ahmed Al-Fateh Primary Preparatory School for Boys, seeks to complete the Quran during the holy month of Ramadan as part of the school competition “Recite the Quran Beautifully.”
Faisal’s participation is in line with the Ministry of Education’s commitment to integrating students with special needs into educational activities, events, and competitions, thereby enhancing their presence in the school community.
The student expressed his pride in striving to complete the Holy Book during this blessed month, learning proper recitation and the rules of Tajweed, with the support of the competition supervisors, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Askar, Senior Islamic Education Teacher, and Mr. Osama Mohammed Abdullah, Agriculture Teacher.
The school will honor all participating students at the end of the holy month. This initiative is part of the efforts of public schools to enrich the curriculum with fruitful educational activities.
Programs like the “Recite the Quran Beautifully” competition are often organized to encourage students, including those with special needs, to engage with the Quran and develop their recitation skills. These initiatives not only promote religious education but also foster a sense of inclusion and community among participants.
In many countries, educational institutions and religious organizations collaborate to create supportive environments for students with special needs, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities as their peers. These efforts often include providing specialized training, resources, and accommodations to help students succeed in their endeavors.
