Under the gracious patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, and in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, member of the Supreme Council for Women, the ceremony announcing the winning projects of the third edition of the “Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Volunteer Youth Work Award” was held.
Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chair of the award committee, praised the support of Her Royal Highness the Wife of the King for initiatives aimed at enhancing national belonging and supporting volunteer community work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She affirmed the role of this award, which was established by royal decree in 2011 and bears the name of the beloved mother of all, may her soul rest in peace.
She also noted the continuous and direct attention and support from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. The award aims to promote and enhance the culture of volunteer work among youth, highlighting its moral value as a national and humanitarian duty. It strengthens the role of youth of both genders, individually and collectively, in volunteer work projects, fosters a spirit of fair competition among them, and highlights youth volunteer initiatives aimed at serving the Bahraini community.
