Kuwait Finance House held an analytical conference on the performance and results of the Kuwait Finance House Group for the financial year 2024, with the participation of Group CEO Khaled Al-Shamlan, Group Deputy CEO – Finance Dr. Shadi Zahran, and Group Chief Strategy Officer Fahd Al-Mukhaizeem.
Al-Shamlan began the conference by highlighting the bank’s financial performance until the end of the 2024 fiscal year, stating that “thanks to God’s grace and guidance, Kuwait Finance House achieved a net profit for shareholders of 601.8 million dinars for 2024, reflecting a 3% growth compared to the previous year 2023, marking record and historical profits.”
Khaled Al-Shamlan noted that in 2024, Kuwait Finance House successfully achieved strong financial performance, recording historic annual financial results, with growth in operational revenues, profits, and all key financial indicators. The bank also succeeded in achieving its strategic objectives and enhancing its leading position in the financial sector, especially after completing the largest merger in the history of the Kuwaiti banking sector.
The successful integration of operational processes with Ahli United Bank – formerly Kuwait, as part of a cross-border acquisition deal, has resulted in the formation of a financial giant operating in 8 countries worldwide, with an extensive international network comprising over 600 branches, paving the way for achieving its ambition of entering the list of the world’s top 100 banks within the next decade.
Al-Shamlan emphasized that Kuwait Finance House has successfully implemented community initiatives with added value that encompass all segments of society. The bank continued its efforts to support community capabilities, care for individuals with special needs, launch awareness campaigns, protect the environment, support sustainable practices, empower youth, and support various innovation, health, and sports initiatives.
In recognition of its outstanding efforts, Kuwait Finance House’s exceptional performance in 2024 was crowned with 43 awards and 4 prestigious group rankings from various global and regional entities. Among the most notable awards were: Best Islamic Financial Institution in the World from Global Finance Magazine, Best Bank in Kuwait, the Most Sustainable Bank in Kuwait from Euromoney, Bank of the Year – Kuwait from The Banker, and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Middle East from EMEA Finance Magazine.
