University President Yasser Magdy Hattata, and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Sherif Al-Attar, received Brigadier General Ahmed Aboul Fotouh, Deputy Director of Giza Recruitment and Mobilization Area, and Colonel Ali Said Shersher, Head of Fayoum Recruitment Section, to conduct medical examinations for students with special needs at Fayoum University, as well as students from Al-Nour School for the Blind and the Intellectual Education School who have reached the age of recruitment, with the aim of issuing military service exemption certificates.
Yasser Magdy Hattata explained that this step comes in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to focus on students with special needs and facilitate the procedures for issuing their exemption certificates.
He confirmed that Fayoum University continuously works to provide a suitable educational environment for this group and seeks to qualify them for the job market through cooperation protocols with relevant entities. The university president also thanked Brigadier General Ahmed Aboul Fotouh and his team for their efforts in supporting students and facilitating their acquisition of the exemption certificates.
Sherif Al-Attar stated that the university provides full support for students with special needs, committing to an educational environment that meets their needs and enhances their integration into student activities. He also noted that the university is keen on investing in their creative abilities for the benefit of the students and the university community.
Brigadier General Ahmed Aboul Fotouh affirmed that the Egyptian Armed Forces strive to provide their services to students with special needs in an accessible manner and without administrative fees. He pointed out that medical examinations were conducted on students with physical, visual, and intellectual special needs, while examinations for students with hearing special needs were not conducted due to the need for precise medical equipment.
