The “Children’s Pavilion” at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, on its ninth day, hosted various artistic and verbal arts activities, along with diverse interactive workshops.
The “Children’s Pavilion” featured an open meeting with the winners of the State Award for Young Creators, including Nerouz Mamdouh Ismail and Sama Mohammed Abu Al-Majd. The meeting was moderated by Mohammed Al-Matarqi. Following this, a storytelling workshop led by Dr. Siham Al-Zaeri saw great participation and interaction from children, who enjoyed listening to the stories told by her.
The pavilion also witnessed another interactive storytelling workshop by writer Abdo Al-Zaraa, who narrated the story “Uncle Khamis and the Lanterns.” In addition to the interactive artistic and creative workshops for children, the hall hosted an open meeting with Najlaa Allam, Editor-in-Chief of the children’s magazine “Qatar Al-Nada.” She discussed the role of “children’s magazines” and their positive impact on children’s lives and personalities.
Furthermore, the Qithara Institute team for special needs performed their best songs at the Children’s Pavilion at the book fair.
In another storytelling workshop, children interacted with writer Etimad Abdo, who narrated an inspiring story about contentment and important moral values that must be embraced.
