The Bahraini Yoga Committee and the Bahraini Center for International Mobility signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation by exchanging expertise and supporting and developing programs to achieve common goals.
The memorandum was signed by Ms. Fatima Al-Mansoori, Chairwoman of the Bahraini Yoga Committee, along with lawyer Jawaher Al-Sinan, Head of Legal Affairs and Public Relations, and by Mr. Adel Sultan Al-Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Center for International Mobility.
This cooperation aims to enhance the presence and participation of children with special needs in sports programs and support initiatives that promote their integration, including organizing programs and a summer camp aimed at integrating individuals with special needs with their peers and establishing a yoga team for individuals with special needs.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding is in line with the committee’s humanitarian and social objectives, aiming to provide continuous and sustainable yoga sessions for individuals with special needs.
It is worth noting that the Bahraini Yoga Committee was established in October 2024 by decision No. (1) of 2024, and it has an independent legal entity under the umbrella of the Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation affiliated with the General Sports Authority. The Bahraini Center for International Mobility was founded in 1979 and is considered the first center dedicated to individuals with special needs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
