Mohamed Abdel Latif, the Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education, visited a number of specialized educational institutions today. The visit included a center for supporting individuals with special needs, a special needs school, and a high school. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in supporting individuals with special needs and to learn about successful practices and inclusive education systems.
The tour began with a visit to the Tokyo Support Center for Autism and Comprehensive Developmental Disorders (TOSCA), where he was received by the center’s director, Ms. Sakata Yokito. The minister expressed his admiration for the programs provided for individuals with special needs, which include integrating psychological care into educational programs, thereby improving academic performance and enhancing students’ mental health, and effectively integrating them into society. He emphasized the importance of providing an inclusive educational environment that supports all students.
Subsequently, the minister visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Komei Gakuen School for Special Needs, where he observed the implementation of programs for students and the psychological care provided to them. He was accompanied by the school’s director, Mr. Shimazue Satoshi, who showcased the educational activities and initiatives aimed at improving the learning experience for students with special needs.
Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his happiness with the visit to the school during his tour in Japan, highlighting his deep respect for Japanese culture, which shares many similarities with Egyptian culture. He also expressed his admiration for the outstanding performances by the students, reflecting the great civilization of the Japanese people.
