Mohamed Abdel Latif, the Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) headed by Akihiko Tanaka. The meeting took place during his official visit to Japan to discuss ways to enhance Japanese technical support for projects of mutual interest.
The minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to JICA for their cooperation and support for joint educational projects, and for the expansion of the Egyptian-Japanese Schools project. He emphasized the importance of spreading Japanese educational philosophy across all schools in the country and expanding cooperation in new areas, particularly in special needs education. He highlighted the desire to strengthen collaboration in this direction by leveraging Japanese expertise, extending this cooperation to the African continent.
The JICA President expressed his happiness with the success of Egyptian-Japanese Schools and affirmed his commitment to expanding this model to other countries. He also welcomed cooperation in special needs education.
At the end of the meeting, preparations for the upcoming TICAD 9 conference, to be held in Japan this year, were discussed. The conference will showcase the Egyptian-Japanese Schools experience and explore possibilities.
