Dr. Ahmed Akawi, President of South Valley University, received Brigadier General Mohamed El-Motasem, Director of the Qena Recruitment Area, and members of the medical committee to conduct medical examinations for students with special needs from South Valley University, the Directorate of Education, and the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Qena. The event was attended by Dr. Hussein Abu El-Magd, Director of the Disability Center at the university.
Dr. Ahmed Akawi confirmed that this visit is part of the fruitful cooperation between the university and the Qena Recruitment Area, aiming to ease the burden on students with special needs and their families. This initiative is in line with the Egyptian Armed Forces’ commitment to providing the necessary facilitation for this group by completing their recruitment status and medically exempting them from military service.
Dr. Hussein Abu El-Magd emphasized South Valley University’s dedication to supporting students with special needs and providing them with comfort. He noted that the medical committee conducted medical examinations on 160 students from South Valley University, in addition to 240 students with special needs affiliated with the Directorate of Education and the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Qena.
