Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah, a member of the UN Committee of Experts on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva, received Rehab Mohammed Boursli, Chairperson of the Kuwaiti Association for the Families of Individuals with Special Needs.
The meeting discussed various topics related to the issues faced by individuals with special needs in Kuwait.
Boursli praised the efforts of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs by enhancing and defending their rights within society. She emphasized the importance of community partnerships and initiatives between the government and relevant public benefit associations in all fields to empower this valuable segment of the nation and translate the sustainable development plan into action.
