The Center for Special Needs Student Services at Suez Canal University announced the organization of the first religious competition for the university’s special needs students. This initiative is part of the university’s commitment to integrating them into various activities and promoting a spirit of positive competition, in collaboration with the General Administration for Environmental Projects represented by the Community Training Administration.
The competition aims to enhance religious awareness among special needs students, encouraging them to memorize the Holy Quran and Hadith, and familiarize them with basic Islamic knowledge.
The competition is divided into two main categories: the first includes visually impaired and physically disabled students, who will compete in memorizing one or more parts of the Holy Quran, memorizing 50 Hadiths, and studying the battles of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Farewell Pilgrimage. The second category includes intellectually disabled students, who will compete in memorizing specific Quranic chapters, memorizing 10 Hadiths, and gaining religious information about the practices of prayer and ablution.
Valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners, along with certificates of appreciation for all participants in recognition of their efforts and to encourage them to continue their religious learning. Interested students can register manually or contact student Abdullah Atta, the representative of special needs students in the university’s student union, who will coordinate the registration process and communication with participants.
Through this initiative, Suez Canal University reaffirms its commitment to supporting its special needs students and its dedication to enhancing their role in the university community by providing opportunities for active participation in various educational, cultural, and religious activities.
