Palestinian Taekwondo Makes Historic Debut in World Bumsy Championships for Special Needs Athletes
Palestinian Taekwondo made its historic debut at the World Bumsy Championships for Special Needs Athletes (Para) held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
Dr. Bashar Abdul Jawad, President of the Palestinian Taekwondo Federation, explained that this significant participation is represented by the Palestinian athlete, Bara Suleiman Abdu, from the city of Ramallah, accompanied by Captain Abdul Quddus Ishaq, who supervised his training at the Dubai Club for People of Determination.
This participation in the event, being held for the first time on a global level, is part of the Palestinian Federation’s plan to open opportunities for any Palestinian athlete to represent their homeland, whether within the country or in the diaspora. This category (Para) is included among the Paralympic Games.
