The Qatari Association for the Rehabilitation of Individuals with Special Needs emphasized the importance of education, training, and practice for individuals with special needs.
The association added that education is a shared responsibility between the families of individuals with special needs and the relevant institutions.
In the same context, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the provision of educational vouchers for Qatari students with special needs electronically through the “Maa’ref” public service portal, promoting the principle of equal opportunities and supporting the provision of an inclusive educational environment via the website eduservices.edu.gov.qa.
Consequently, the United Nations General Assembly has designated January 24 as the International Day of Education to achieve human development.
