The Minister of Education, Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabai, received in his office at the Ministry of Education’s headquarters the Chairman of the Kuwaiti Sports Club for the Deaf, Anwar Muneef Al-Harbi, along with Supreme Council member of the Public Authority for Persons with Special Needs and Islamic Education teacher at Al-Amal Joint Boys School, Hamad Mohamed Al-Marri; Math teacher Mansour Al-Abbasi; and Social Studies and Islamic History teacher Abdullah Anwar Al-Sultan from Al-Amal Joint Boys School for the deaf. They were accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Khalaf Al-Ramzi, Chairman of the Kuwait Society for Sign Language Interpreters.
During the meeting, key issues concerning students with hearing impairments in special education schools were discussed, along with efforts to facilitate the educational services provided to them and prepare specialized teaching staff who have extensive experience in sign language interpretation for the deaf.
Al-Tabtabai emphasized the Ministry of Education’s commitment to supporting these groups, meeting their needs to ensure their rights, integrating them into society, and giving them priority and attention to involve them and activate their role in contributing to the development process within our cherished country.
Both Anwar Al-Harbi, Chairman of the Kuwaiti Sports Club for the Deaf, and Hamad Al-Marri expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the minister for this support and the warm reception, valuing his distinguished efforts in advancing the educational process in our dear Kuwait.
