A joint meeting was held in Tripoli, bringing together the Chairman of the Libyan Paralympic Committee, Khaled Al-Raqeebi, and the Treasurer, Nouri Abdul Wahid, with the Acting German Ambassador to Libya, Sven Krosby.
During the meeting, numerous topics were discussed, including the activation of Paralympic sports agreements between Libya and Germany, facilitating procedures for Libyan Paralympic delegations participating in international competitions hosted by Germany, and discussing Germany’s contribution to establishing sports centers for individuals with special needs within Libya.
Additionally, coordination was discussed for obtaining scholarships for individuals with special needs and collaboration with the GiZ Agency to facilitate and establish sports centers specifically for individuals with special needs.
Paralympic Sports Agreements: Libya and Germany are working together to activate Paralympic sports agreements, which will facilitate the participation of Libyan Paralympic delegations in international competitions hosted by Germany.
Establishment of Sports Centers: Germany is contributing to the establishment of sports centers for individuals with special needs within Libya. These centers will provide necessary facilities and support for sports activities.
Scholarships and Educational Support: There is coordination for obtaining scholarships for individuals with special needs, ensuring they have access to educational opportunities and resources.
Collaboration with GiZ: The German Agency for International Cooperation (GiZ) is involved in facilitating and establishing sports centers specifically for individuals with special needs in Libya.
These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for individuals with special needs in Libya by providing them with opportunities for education, sports, and social integration.
