Amir Al-Amri, the Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Districts, inaugurated the distribution of hearing aids to 39 students with special needs. This initiative is part of the second phase of the project aimed at responding to the local capacity development needs for the education of illiterate and special needs students, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
The project targets 380 children with special needs in six governorates: Al Mahrah, Aden, Lahij, Shabwa, Hadhramaut, and Al Dhale’e. The goal is to improve the quality of education and ensure that children with special needs have equal educational opportunities by providing them with the necessary educational and rehabilitative supplies. This initiative falls under a comprehensive vision to support the most vulnerable groups in society.
Deputy Governor Al-Amri emphasized the importance of these initiatives, which aim to enable students with special needs to continue their education easily. He noted that this step is part of the efforts to improve educational services for special needs individuals, contributing to their integration into society and the realization of their aspirations.
The Deputy Governor also praised the role of the supporting and implementing agencies for this project, calling for the continuation of these efforts to provide a suitable educational environment for all students, especially those with special needs, to ensure that they receive their full educational rights.
