The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, along with all relevant agencies, continues its efforts at the Grand Mosque.
This year, 400 golf carts are contributing to the service of the elderly and individuals with special needs in the Grand Mosque. These carts are distributed across 11 locations in an organized manner to provide services.
This initiative is parallel to the efforts of all relevant agencies to provide services to pilgrims, visitors, and worshippers. A secure human barrier has been deployed to organize the exit of pilgrims and worshippers from the Grand Mosque after Taraweeh prayers.
Distribution and Purpose: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has doubled the number of electric golf carts to 400, distributed across 11 locations inside the Grand Mosque. These carts are intended to assist the elderly and individuals with special needs in performing their religious rituals with ease and comfort.
Service Details: The golf cart service is available for 12 hours a day, from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The service is specifically for performing tawaf (circumambulation) around the Holy Kaaba. Each cart can accommodate up to 10 people, and the service costs 25 Riyals per person.
Accessibility: Pilgrims can access the golf cart service through various entry points, including Ajyad Escalators, the elevators at King Abdulaziz Gate, and the elevators at Bab Al Umrah. The initiative aims to provide a more inclusive and accessible experience for all worshippers.
Additional Services: In addition to the golf carts, the authorities have introduced other services to enhance the experience for pilgrims, such as mobile barber shops, luggage storage with electronic tracking, and improved iftar meal distribution through electronic registration.
These efforts are part of a broader plan to provide the best services for visitors and Umrah performers during peak seasons, ensuring their comfort and convenience while performing their religious duties.
