“Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior Prepares for National Celebrations 2025”
As part of the Ministry of Interior’s preparations for the 2025 national celebrations, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf chaired a security meeting on Thursday. The meeting included assistant undersecretaries from various security sectors to finalize plans for securing the festivities.
At the beginning of the meeting, Lt. Gen. Al-Nawaf welcomed the attendees and conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef. He wished them success and encouraged continuous diligent work to ensure this year’s national celebrations present a distinguished and civilized image.
During the meeting, Al-Nawaf reviewed with the assistant undersecretaries the planned precautionary security measures, emphasizing the need for coordination and integration with the participating sectors. He stressed the importance of working as a unified team to maintain security and safety, and insisted that field security leaders be present on the ground to oversee and follow up on the established plans.
Al-Nawaf emphasized the necessity for complete readiness and constant vigilance among security personnel to enforce the rule of law. He called for firm action against any negative behaviors, particularly water spraying, climbing on vehicle roofs, exiting through windows, sitting on vehicle fronts, obstructing traffic, parking in restricted areas and special needs parking spots, organizing unauthorized races, reckless driving, and exceeding speed limits. He urged security personnel to maintain a respectful and patient demeanor, provide humanitarian assistance to the public, especially to those with special needs and the elderly, and to translate security measures into practical actions to ensure everyone’s safety and security.
In conclusion, Lt. Gen. Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf highlighted that the national day and liberation day celebrations express the citizens’ genuine joy. He called for these celebrations to reflect the refined customs and traditions of Kuwait, demonstrating love and pride for the nation and a sincere sense of belonging.
