Coinciding with World Braille Day and the International Day of Solidarity with Special Needs Individuals, the event “National Partnerships and Future Developmental Visions” was held under the patronage of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila. The event was organized in collaboration with the Public Authority for Special Needs Affairs, alongside official entities, public interest associations, and rehabilitation and training centers concerned with various disabilities.
The event, held at the Community Development Center in the Zahra area, included a side exhibition with the participation of around 29 organizations, institutions, and volunteer teams, in addition to seven visual artists with various disabilities. The aim was to promote the role of integration and community participation.
The exhibition showcased the content of the participating pavilions from volunteer teams serving special needs individuals, and special sports and rehabilitation clubs.
Participants in the exhibition included the “Expo 965” team for heritage and craft exhibitions and Kuwaiti creators, the “Support and Rescue” team, the “Mopar” international team for classic and vintage cars, the “Ambition” sports club for intellectual disabilities, and the Kuwaiti Association for Inventors and Innovation, among others.
