Dr. Hassan El-Namany, President of Sohag University, met with a number of his students with special needs in a warm, parental meeting during his inspection of the Noor Al-Basira Center for Individuals with Special Needs. He was accompanied by Mr. Ashraf Al-Qadi, the Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Emad Al-Suwaina, the Center’s Director, and Dr. Salma Abdel-Monem, Deputy Director of the Center, at the center’s premises on the old campus.
During the meeting, El-Namany expressed his great happiness at this meeting with his students, whom he holds close to his heart. He emphasized the university’s commitment to creating and providing a supportive and integrated educational environment that meets their needs and fulfills their academic and professional aspirations. He highlighted that these students are not only models of determination and challenge but are also partners in the university’s achievements and in building the future of Egypt.
El-Namany listened to their suggestions and discussed their needs, promising to meet their demands to provide the best service for them, which was well-received by the students. He clarified that the university has rehabilitated its colleges and facilities to meet the needs of students with various special needs.
Dr. Emad Al-Suwaina explained that through the Noor Al-Basira Center, the university provides the necessary support for students with visual, physical, or other impairments, through advanced educational tools, training workshops, and initiatives aimed at facilitating their integration into the educational process and university life.
The students expressed their happiness with this parental meeting, appreciating the university’s attention to their issues and the provision of means to help them excel and integrate into university life.
