The Public Authority for Youth announced today, Thursday, that it will provide volunteer opportunities for young people of both genders in Ramadan centers affiliated with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. These centers will be launched with the advent of the next Ramadan in 25 mosques across the six governorates.
Waleed Al-Ansari, Acting Deputy Director-General of the Youth Sector at the Authority, stated in a press release that this voluntary work is aimed at serving worshippers and organizing their entry and exit from these centers smoothly during Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers.
Al-Ansari added that volunteers will also be responsible for preparing the necessary supplies for the Ramadan centers, assisting individuals with special needs and the elderly in performing their prayers, and contributing to organizing activities and events held at these centers.
He explained that the Authority will train young people interested in volunteering at the Volunteer Work Administration headquarters in the Shamiya Youth Center, noting that the registration process for volunteering will start tomorrow, Friday, through the Authority’s website (www.wro-kuwait.org).
Al-Ansari emphasized the Authority’s keenness to cooperate with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to provide opportunities for young people interested in volunteering. This is in line with the national strategy for volunteer work, which aims at partnership between state institutions. He expects that this volunteer opportunity will witness significant interest from volunteers compared to previous years.
