Mohamed Al-Mazoughi, President of the Tunisian National Paralympic Committee, announced the signing of a partnership agreement with a startup active in the field of professional inclusion for individuals with special needs. This initiative aims to support the professional integration and entrepreneurship of athletes with special needs after the end of their sports careers.
In a press statement on Thursday, Al-Mazoughi explained that the agreement with the startup “Handi Success” encompasses social and economic dimensions and will establish an effective partnership between the two parties in accompanying athletes with special needs in launching their own projects and preparing them for professional life.
He emphasized that athletes with special needs require care and support to ensure their professional future, expressing his belief that integrating them into the labor market and the economic cycle is one of the greatest societal challenges, representing a national concern par excellence.
The President of the Tunisian National Paralympic Committee observed that athletes with special needs urgently need initiatives that pave the way for building a career path after retiring from sports, especially since finding employment and a source of income has become difficult for individuals with special needs.
He revealed that the committee will organize an open day after Ramadan as part of activating this partnership. During this event, all parties involved in sports and economic matters, such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, will be engaged to further explain the objectives of this agreement to athletes in various associations and specialized centers for individuals with special needs. The goal is to inform them about how to benefit from training programs in employment, promote entrepreneurial spirit, and encourage independent work, as well as provide guidance, advice, and follow-up when launching projects.
Najeh Al-Sharif, the legal representative of “Handi Success,” stated that preparations for this agreement with the Tunisian National Paralympic Committee began last December, noting that “Handi Success” is distinguished by its proximity and understanding of the concerns of individuals with special needs in general and athletes from this group in particular.
In a press statement, he clarified that the startup will provide athletes with special needs with three platforms within this agreement to help them integrate into the professional fabric after concluding their sports careers.
