The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Hawila, announced the resumption of wheelchair deliveries for people with special needs after a halt that lasted for years. This humanitarian step aims to improve their quality of life and meet their basic needs.
Dr. Al-Hawila explained in a press statement that this measure is part of a comprehensive plan to support the rights of people with special needs and ensure they receive services that contribute to improving their quality of life.
She added that she is working to remove all obstacles that prevented the provision of these vital tools and equipment during the previous period, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of this service.
She also confirmed her keenness to exert intensive efforts to improve infrastructure and develop services provided to people with special needs, including medical equipment, training programs, and psychological and social support.
Furthermore, she stressed her commitment to continuing to work on developing policies and services that ensure the integration of people with special needs into society and enhance their rights.
