“Dr. Mohamed Adel, a rheumatology professor at Al-Azhar Medical School, confirmed that taking injections or dietary supplements such as Vitamin D or Vitamin B without consulting a doctor is incorrect.
During a media interview today, Dr. Adel said, ‘It is wrong for people to take medications or dietary supplements based on internet views or advice without consulting a doctor, and treatment cannot be generalized to everyone, as each person has their own health condition.’
Dr. Adel explained that Vitamin D is an important vitamin that some people may need, but this does not mean that everyone suffering from back pain or other issues should take Vitamin D randomly.
He added, ‘Even if you have a Vitamin D deficiency, the doses you need depend on your health condition and treatment goals, and in some cases, the patient may need supplements such as calcium and magnesium along with Vitamin D, but determining the dose and content depends on medical diagnosis.’
He pointed out that there is a difference between supplementary supplements, which help support general health, and medical treatments that address specific health issues, and therefore, it is necessary to consult a doctor to determine if you need these supplements or not, and which doses are most suitable for you.
