Driven by a commitment to include and integrate individuals with special needs into society, the Public Authority for Special Needs Affairs, represented by the Vocational Rehabilitation Department, organized an event under the theme “Kuwait Resolve” on Monday. This event coincided with the country’s national celebrations and was attended by the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, as well as several officials from relevant rehabilitation and care institutions.
National holidays serve as an opportunity to work towards integrating and equating this group with their peers without special needs through various activities that the Authority for Special Needs and its affiliated entities ensure to hold annually, aiming to instill national values and a sense of belonging.
Moreover, the national holidays provide a chance for individuals with special needs to express their love and belonging to the country through musical performances and interactions, encouraged by their families and attendees of the national event.
