On behalf of Governor of Zarqa, Dr. Firas Abu Qudoud, Dr. Atallah Al-Nuwayqa inaugurated the “Imagine and I Draw” Conference for individuals with special needs at the King Abdullah II Cultural Center. The conference aims to support and empower individuals with special needs through art and creativity.
The conference was organized in celebration of the 63rd birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein. It was an initiative by the Reesha Al-Aql Academy for Skills Training and Development, in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation, the Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein Club for the Deaf, the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and several official and community institutions.
Several organizations participated in organizing the conference, including: the Royal Air Force Women’s Club, the Community Police of the General Security Directorate, Zarqa Governorate’s Directorate of Culture, Zarqa Governorate’s Directorate of Health, Zarqa Region’s Directorate of Education and Training, Zarqa Directorate of Labor, Zarqa Youth Directorate of the Ministry of Youth, the Directorate of Income and Sales Tax, and the directorates of social development and municipalities in Zarqa, Russeifa, and Hashemiya.
Additionally, the event was supported by the Federation of Charities in Zarqa, the Jordanian Physiotherapy Association, Al-Amal Mixed Secondary School for Sign Language, Al-Zahraa Comprehensive Center for Special Education, and the We Are All Jordan Youth Commission.
The conference aims to enhance the integration of individuals with special needs into society, showcasing their talents and abilities through the arts, fostering values of positive interaction and social solidarity.
