Kuwait: Jasour – News Desk
Today, Wednesday, the 19th relief plane from the Kuwaiti air bridge arrived at Damascus International Airport, carrying 10 tons of food and shelter supplies. The operation is organized by the Al-Salam Humanitarian and Charity Association, with cooperation from the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, represented by the Kuwaiti Air Force.
The “Kuwait is with You” campaign continues its humanitarian efforts to support and assist Syrian brothers and sisters through the Kuwaiti air bridge, providing various forms of aid, primarily food such as flour, dates, rice, and oils, as well as shelter supplies like blankets, heavy clothing, gloves, and medical supplies for children and mothers, along with wheelchairs for individuals with special needs and ambulances.
The aid, received at Damascus International Airport by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, is sorted and transported to warehouses via their trucks. Some of the aid is directly delivered to relevant entities, such as wheelchairs and ambulances to the Syrian Ministry of Health, and flour to automated mills due to increased demand.
To date, the total amount of aid provided to Syria through the Kuwaiti air bridge amounts to 535 tons, distributed among associations, organizations, and official Kuwaiti entities.
