The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Safa Humanitarian Society, Abdulaziz Al-Shaya, praised the pioneering role played by the General Secretariat of Awqaf in supporting charitable organizations to participate in the Kuwait Grand Competition for the Memorization and Recitation of the Quran, which enjoys an excellent reputation both locally and internationally.
He expressed his gratitude for the sponsorship of His Highness the Emir of the country, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, for this competition, confirming that the leadership’s support for these events enhances Kuwait’s position as a leading country in serving the Book of Allah and its people.
Al-Shaya pointed out the association’s pride in achieving four advanced positions in this year’s competition, where 91 participants from the association took part in various categories.
The association’s contestants managed to secure first place in three major branches: Abdullah Al-Zaid in the Al-Majd Competition branch, Khalil Ashkenani in the Al-Khair and Al-Barakah Competition branch, and Abdullah Al-Madhkoor in the Special Needs category.
Additionally, the contestant Aziza Malallah won second place in the Al-Khair and Al-Barakah Competition branch. He explained that this success was the result of the intensive efforts made by the association, through the Al-Safa Quranic Center, which organized comprehensive rehabilitation programs to improve the participants’ performance and review their memorization, contributing to these honorable results among 54 charitable and official entities participating in the competition.
