Al-Baha Association for Children with Special Needs Celebrates World down Syndrome Day 2025
The Al-Baha Association for Children with Special Needs organized an event in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day 2025 at its center in Al-Baha region. The event was held in collaboration with the Family Affairs Committee at the Emirate of Al-Baha and with the participation of several government and private entities.
The event aimed to activate World Down Syndrome Day, promote the integration and empowerment of children with special needs in society, encourage communication and community partnerships among relevant parties, and highlight the role of the Family Affairs Committee as a platform supporting the rights and empowerment of children with special needs.
Participants included the Al-Baha Directorate of Education, Ta’atuf Association, Alama Farqa Daycare Center, and Kenan Childcare Center. The event was attended by 13 children with Down syndrome, along with over 30 parents and representatives of participating entities.
The activities featured a variety of engaging programs, including recreational and cultural competitions for children and their parents, skill-building stations such as painting with colors and sand, and face painting, which added a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere to the gathering.
The program concluded with the recognition of participating entities. Certificates and commemorative plaques were distributed in appreciation of their active contributions to the success of the event.
