A distribution event of 440 hearing and visual aids was held at Damanhour Cultural Complex in Al Buhayrah. The event was a collaboration between “E & Egypt Telecommunications” and the “Al-Muntasireen Foundation.”
Dr. Rasha Fawzy, Assistant Governor for Health Affairs and Initiatives, attended the event alongside officials from “E & Egypt Telecommunications” and a large number of children and individuals with special needs.
During the celebration, 440 hearing and visual aids were distributed to the beneficiaries after conducting the necessary medical examinations to ensure they reached those in need.
This event crowns a series of medical convoys organized by “E & Egypt Telecommunications” and the “Al-Muntasireen Foundation,” covering 13 special education schools in Al Buhayrah Governorate. Over 3,000 medical services were provided in dermatology, pediatrics, internal medicine, orthopedics, audiology, and ophthalmology, along with dispensing necessary medications to the beneficiaries.
Dr. Jacqueline Azar, the Governor of Al Buhayrah, emphasized the governorate’s support for all initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life for citizens and supporting the most vulnerable groups, especially individuals with special needs. She praised the active role of the private sector and civil society organizations in enhancing comprehensive development efforts in the governorate.
During the event, Major General Hassan Mowafi, the Secretary-General of the Governorate, also attended and praised the pioneering role of “E & Egypt Telecommunications” in supporting individuals with special needs by providing assistive devices that enhance their ability to integrate into society. He stressed the importance of cooperation between civil society organizations and the private sector to implement such developmental initiatives.
The event was part of a broader effort that included organizing medical convoys and providing over 3,000 medical services in various specialties, such as dermatology, pediatrics, internal medicine, orthopedics, audiology, and ophthalmology. The initiative also involved distributing necessary medications to the beneficiaries.
