Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, discussed with Engineer Khaled Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development, and Dr. Atef Hassan, Founder and Chairman of Cavendish Company, along with their accompanying delegation, at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, the ways of mutual cooperation under the “Educational Path of Life” initiative.
The Minister of Social Solidarity explained that the “Educational Path of Life” initiative aims to establish the first comprehensive educational center in Egypt dedicated to children with special educational needs and disabilities, which will be launched by the Administrative Capital Company in cooperation with WMC Company, based in the UK, and Cavendish Company, with the goal of generalizing this model across different governorates.
Dr. Maya Morsi confirmed that this cooperation comes within the framework of coordination and integration between the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Administrative Capital Company, and Cavendish Company to support efforts in promoting and protecting the rights of people with special needs, integrating them into society, and providing a supportive environment and equal opportunities enabling them to participate effectively alongside the rest of society.
The meeting reviewed the mechanisms of cooperation to establish an integrated rehabilitation center according to the latest standards for training and preparing educational cadres in dealing with people with special needs, to be a unique model in this regard, while reviewing the working mechanisms to provide training, human, and technical support for the center within the framework of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s efforts to serve the issues of people with special needs.
The meeting was attended by Engineer Margaret Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity, Ayman Abdul Mawgoud, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for NGO Affairs, and senior officials from the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
