The Ministry of Health and Population announced that more than 20,610 citizens who applied for the Integrated Services Card were examined and evaluated in January across all governorates. These efforts are in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to support and empower individuals with special needs and enhance their full integration into society.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the ministry has increased the number of medical committees designated to examine individuals with special needs to 531 committees distributed across the country. This includes hospitals affiliated with the ministry, university hospitals, and armed forces and police hospitals, aiming to facilitate procedures and provide the necessary medical coverage in various governorates.
Dr. Mohamed Zidan, Head of the Central Administration for Therapeutic Medicine and General Manager of Specialized Medical Councils, explained that obtaining the Integrated Services Card requires data registration through the ministry’s official website. Applicants receive a text message on their mobile phones with the date and location of the medical examination, and the website operates around the clock.
Zidan emphasized that the Ministry of Health and Population is committed to governing medical procedures and providing the necessary support to facilitate individuals with special needs in obtaining the Integrated Services Card. He noted that the ministry’s medical committees, in cooperation with university hospitals, the armed forces, and the police, are responsible for conducting the required medical examinations. After completing the procedures, the applications are referred to the Ministry of Social Solidarity, which issues the card.
