The General Directorate of Traffic announced the implementation of a field campaign to seize vehicles parked in spaces reserved for individuals with special needs.
Through its account on the X platform, the traffic authority confirmed that 2,259 violating vehicles were seized across various regions of the Kingdom, with their owners parking in spaces designated for individuals with special needs.
This comes as part of the continuous fieldwork carried out by traffic departments in all regions of the Kingdom to apprehend violating vehicles, including those parked in spaces reserved for this group. The traffic departments urge everyone to cooperate and adhere to the rules outlined in the traffic system.
The traffic departments were carrying out the second field operation to establish a culture of respect for the rights of people with special needs.
The traffic departments said that they would apply regulations to all violators without exception.
They also called for cooperation from the public to show respect for people with special needs by not parking in spaces reserved for them.
The General Administration of Traffic ordered the operation following a directive from Brig. Gen. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Bassami, director general of the traffic department.
Earlier, the traffic department of Al-Qurayyat seized 12 vehicles that took positions of people with special needs.
