Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, welcomed the seventh group of individuals with special needs who received lower limb prosthetics, facilitated by the Higher Medical Committee and the Cabinet’s emergency response unit, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population.
This took place in the presence of Dr. Hazem Omar, Deputy Governor of Qena, and Hazem Mohamed, Director of the Citizens’ Service Department in the governorate.

Additionally, 16 new cases with lower limb amputations were examined, and their prosthetics will be prepared and delivered soon. Furthermore, maintenance was conducted on three prosthetics that had been previously distributed.
He added that all necessary accommodations were provided to the recipients from the time they submitted their applications until their safe return to the governorate, in coordination with the Higher Medical Committee and the emergency response unit. He noted that citizens were transported from Qena to Cairo by a tourist bus in coordination with the Directorate of Social Solidarity.
He pointed out that the Citizens’ Service Office in the governorate’s general office continues to receive applications from those wishing to obtain prosthetics, in ongoing cooperation with the Higher Medical Committee and the emergency response unit, to provide all forms of support to individuals with motor disabilities.
