For the sixth consecutive year, the initiative of the Ramadan Iftar banquet continues at Al-Jouf Club for Individuals with Special Needs. This year’s event was organized for the club’s athletes, their families, club staff, and volunteers of both genders.
Fahid Al-Shammari, President of Al-Jouf Club for Individuals with Special Needs, revealed in a press statement that the initiative is held annually with contributions from productive families, providing a table featuring local dishes and dates.
The event sees the attendance of athletes with physical, hearing, and visual impairments, who are celebrated every year alongside their families and club staff, including administrative and technical members, as well as volunteers. Al-Shammari emphasized the family-like atmosphere that this annual Iftar fosters. The initiative aims to create a familial environment at the club and enhance volunteer opportunities by involving a group of cooks in preparing and serving the Iftar meal.
The initiative also included distributing gifts to the athletes and organizing an entertainment program during the evening hours.
