Dr. Araby Abu Zeid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Alexandria, attended an event organized by the Al-Gomrok Educational Administration in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Special Needs, led by Dr. Roheya Abu Ghali, Director General of Al-Gomrok Educational Administration. The event, titled ‘Together We Can,’ was presented by students with special needs.
Dr. Roheya Abu Ghali stated that the objective of the celebration was to combat bullying, strengthen the self-confidence of those who have experienced bullying, and help them regain their psychological and emotional well-being. The event also aimed to encourage individuals affected by bullying to participate in social activities and integrate into society.
Amid an atmosphere of joy, the celebration featured theatrical sketches and performances highlighting the dangers of bullying and the importance of addressing it. The students creatively showcased the psychological impact of bullying on those targeted.
The event also included a segment of religious songs performed by the students, as well as “Tanoura” dance performances, drumming, and patriotic chants.
On the sidelines of the celebration, an exhibition was organized for orphaned students, providing all the essential supplies they needed.
Amani Sarih, Director of Al-Gomrok Media Complex, also participated in the event.
