State Council Committee Discusses Rights of Individuals with Special Needs in the Sultanate of Oman
Today, the Subcommittee of the Social and Cultural Committee at the State Council, tasked with studying the draft law “Rights of Individuals with Special Needs,” held its first meeting of the second regular session of the eighth term.
The meeting was chaired by the esteemed Dr. Abdul Karim bin Jawad Al-Lawati, Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of the esteemed committee members.
During the meeting, members’ observations and views on the draft law were discussed. This law aims to ensure that individuals with special needs enjoy all their civil, social, cultural, health, educational, and sports rights, in addition to various other rights.
This project comes as part of the initiative presented by the State Council, where the initial draft of the law was referred to the Ministry of Social Development by the Council of Ministers.
