Villarreal Club condemned the physical assaults on two fans with special needs following the Valencia match in the Spanish League.
Villarreal explained that two fans were taken to the hospital after suffering multiple injuries, including bruises and a broken jaw, during incidents outside the stadium after the team drew with Valencia 1-1. One of the fans plays for the team dedicated to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The Spanish club’s statement mentioned: “Villarreal unequivocally condemns and completely rejects any act of violence in any form, which has no place in football and society. The club wishes to show its support for the affected individuals and has been in constant contact and cooperation with the victims since the incident.”
