Sheikh Salman Badr Al-Sabah, the head of the “Beloved Kuwait” team, affirmed that the “You’re Capable” event held at “Wanasa” Park in the Khuwisat area successfully highlighted the creativity and exceptional talents of individuals with special needs in an interactive atmosphere reflecting the spirit of generosity and empowerment.
Sheikh Salman expressed his pride in the attendance of the honorary president of the “Beloved Kuwait” team, Sheikha Um Rakan Al-Sabah, along with several ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries and prominent Kuwaiti figures. This attendance underscores the societal solidarity to support this group and enhance their role in various fields.
He explained that the event featured outstanding performances by individuals with special needs, including artistic, cultural, and creative works that showcased their skills and abilities. Sheikh Salman thanked everyone who contributed to the event’s success, emphasizing that the “Beloved Kuwait” team will continue its efforts to organize initiatives that promote the inclusion of individuals with special needs, providing them with opportunities to prove their capabilities and achieve their aspirations.
On her part, the honorary president of the “Beloved Kuwait” team stressed her constant commitment to participating with individuals with special needs and supporting their creativity in various fields. She explained that individuals with special needs, whom she described as “creative sons of the nation,” have proven their competence in various fields, excelling in arts and handicrafts, reflecting their high abilities and potentials that deserve all support and encouragement.
She added that such events contribute to enhancing their integration into society and showcasing their talents on a wider scale. Ibrahim Al-Baghli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ibrahim Taher Al-Baghli Foundation for the Dutiful Son, emphasized that Kuwaiti youth should take their parents’ achievements as a model to emulate in maintaining the nation’s security through diligence, work, and perseverance. He considered that there are many positives and great hopes for our beloved country, through which Kuwait can achieve development, sustainable growth, and prosperity. He added that caring for individuals with special needs and empowering them is a humanitarian duty reflecting the values of solidarity and compassion characteristic of Kuwaiti society. He pointed out that this group possesses distinctive abilities and potentials that require support and encouragement.
