Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, President of Sohag University, and Dr. Nazeer Ayad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, honored the students who have memorized the Quran in recognition of their diligence and to encourage them to excel and adhere to religious values.
Al-Numani praised the participation of the Grand Mufti in the honor ceremony, affirming the university’s commitment to supporting excellence in various fields. Ayad commended the university’s efforts in nurturing outstanding students and expressed his admiration for Aisha Ismail Shabana, a student from the Faculty of Arts, who has memorized the entire Quran despite the challenges she faces as an individual with special needs, applauding her strong will and the university’s support for her.
The winners of the “People of the Quran” competition, organized by the Youth Care Administration, were also honored. The first-place winners in the complete Quran memorization category were: Wafaa Mohy El-Din (Nursing), Aisha Ismail Shabana (Arts), Rehab Khalaf Ahmed (Human Medicine). Among the male students: Amr Ahmed Hashim (Human Medicine), Abdullah Mamdouh (Veterinary Medicine), and Moaz Alaa (Human Medicine), along with the winners of the half Quran and 10-part Quran memorization categories.
The university emphasized its continued support for student activities and providing both material and moral support to outstanding students, promoting religious and moral values within the university community.
