The Al-Zaytoun Center for the Care of Children with Special Needs, affiliated with the Egypt Association for Culture and Community Development, organized a one-day camp aimed at training children to rely on themselves in various aspects of daily life.
The day began with a focus on personal hygiene, where participants washed their hands and teeth before a group breakfast, which they prepared themselves. This was followed by tidying and cleaning the space, promoting values of responsibility and independence.
The camp also included a series of group recreational activities such as soccer, tug-of-war, Snakes and Ladders, macramé crafts, playing musical instruments, and concluded with a designated time for relaxation and rest.
Inas Fadlallah, the center’s director, emphasized that camps are an effective means of developing problem-solving skills, enhancing self-reliance, and positively utilizing free time. These activities contribute to building the children’s personalities, helping them become active members of society.
