Decisions for Kuwait’s Benefit and Suspending Association Elections in Public Interest, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, affirmed the importance of making any decision that serves Kuwait’s best interests.
During the flag-raising ceremony at the Social Care Complex, Al-Huwaila confidently stated, “We are confident that the decision to suspend association elections serves the public interest and puts an end to ongoing practices.”
Al-Huwaila also mentioned that the ministry is working on legislation to protect shareholders’ funds, emphasizing that the ministry is in the process of finalizing a new cooperative labor law, which they hope to pass before Ramadan.
In her speech, Al-Huwaila highlighted that the national holiday celebrations are a precious opportunity to reaffirm the values of belonging and loyalty that unite Kuwaitis. She noted that raising the flag today renews their pledge to the beloved nation, striving for its development and continuous progress in all fields.
Al-Huwaila took the opportunity to thank the Social Care Sector for its tireless work in providing care to all deserving groups, including the elderly, children, family care members, and individuals with special needs. She emphasized their dedication to creating a healthy and safe environment for everyone, reflecting Kuwait’s true image as a land of humanity and generosity.
Additionally, Dr. Jassim Al-Kandari, Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Care Sector, spoke during the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of the flag-raising event as a symbol of pride and belonging to the beloved homeland, Kuwait. He reiterated their commitment to working diligently and faithfully in serving society, ensuring that the flag, which flies high, is protected and upheld through their achievements in various fields.
Al-Kandari added that Kuwait’s progress and prosperity are due to the collective efforts of its dedicated citizens who prioritize the nation’s interests. He reaffirmed the Social Care Sector’s commitment to continuing this journey, believing that human care and social cohesion are the cornerstones of building a strong and sustainable nation.
