Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa, Acting Minister of Health, discussed with the Syrian Organization for Special Needs (Amal) ways to reactivate the organization’s work and provide medical and rehabilitation services.
Al-Sharaa emphasized that the ministry places great importance on children’s health and providing necessary healthcare services for them, indicating that efforts are being made to reactivate health institutions and facilities according to priority.
He also stressed the need to organize, develop, and restructure the organization’s work, eliminate corruption and administrative inefficiency, noting that efforts are currently underway to reconsider the organization’s affiliation.
Dr. Asaad Al-Asaad, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Amal Organization, provided a detailed explanation of the organization’s work and the services it offers, which include the rehabilitation of hearing, speech, language, and intellectual disabilities for children. He pointed out the urgent need for refinancing and reactivating the organization’s work.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Razan Al-Tarabishi, Director of Primary Healthcare at the Ministry, and Rana Al-Munajjid, Executive Director of the Syrian Organization for Special Needs (Amal).
