The Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Affairs, Souraya Mouloudji, highlighted the state’s efforts in caring for special needs individuals through established programs and registered projects.
During her supervision of the groundbreaking ceremony for a psycho-pedagogical center for special needs children in Bougara Municipality, the minister emphasized that “the state is determined to support and enhance the network of specialized schools for the training and education of individuals with special needs to ensure better care for this vulnerable segment of society.”
The minister revealed that her sector has 239 institutions, including centers and schools for hearing and visual impairments, serving over 36,000 children and staffed by more than 15,000 professionals, including teachers, educators, pedagogues, and psychologists. She noted the continued establishment of such centers across all provinces of the nation.
The minister also pointed out that the sector includes over 107 medical social centers run by associations that cater to children with autism. The ministry supports and supervises these associations to enhance their educational capabilities and expertise, in addition to 1,454 integrated classes within the national education sector.
Additionally, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Affairs affirmed that her department continues to support stay-at-home women through the implementation of the economic support program for rural women. This program was launched in coordination with the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Microenterprises to cover all provinces of the nation.
This program includes organizing training and educational courses for rural women to help them improve their performance, support skills, and develop competencies in various specialties.
