Saleh Mohamed Moussa Tehami, who won first place in the special needs category of the World Quran Competition, expressed his immense happiness at this great achievement during the award ceremony held in the New Administrative Capital. The event was attended by several public figures and officials from the Ministry of Awqaf.
In an interview with media presenter Zainab Saad Al-Din on the “Al-Bayt” program broadcast on Al-Nas TV, the winner of the first place in the special needs category of the World Quran Competition said that winning the first place was a dream come true, thanks to God’s grace. “I expected to win, but I did not know which place I would get, and first place was a pleasant surprise for me,” he said.
Saleh recalled fond memories with his family and friends, especially with his mother, who expressed her overwhelming joy when she learned of his victory, with tears of happiness streaming down her face. He also pointed to the joy of the people in his village, who showered him with congratulations and blessings, both through social media and in the streets.
He mentioned that he memorized and recited the Quran, inspired by great reciters such as Sheikh Mustafa Ismail and Sheikh Al-Minshawi, as well as Sheikh Mohamed Rifaat, in whose honor this year’s competition was named. He noted that the most notable moment he experienced during the competition was his parents’ prayers and his colleagues’ congratulations after achieving this prestigious rank.
Saleh extended a message of thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported him and contributed to his success, stressing that this award is the fruit of long effort and perseverance in memorizing and reciting the Quran.
