The Saudi road code specifies detailed standards for parking spaces for individuals with special needs to facilitate their movement and ease of access.
The communication and awareness platform of the Ministerial Committee for Traffic Safety, “Salamatak,” explained that the specifications for parking spaces for individuals with special needs must include four criteria: the spaces should be “closer to building entrances and elevators, equipped with ramps for sidewalks.”
The platform, via its “X” account, indicated that parking spaces for individuals with special needs should have “good lighting and a longitudinal access corridor on both sides of the parking space.”
