Special Needs Youth Treatment Facility at 3800 Coolidge Avenue, Oakland

A new residential treatment facility for special needs youth has been proposed for development at 3800 Coolidge Avenue in Dimond District, Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a new treatment facility offering eight dormitories, administrative offices, and a gymnasium. The project calls for the demolition of two existing structures on the site. Eunice Ann Finch Resource Center is listed as the property owner. Dialog Design is listed as the project applicant responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the development of new residential treatment facility for special needs youth. The project plans include splitting the land-use between supportive housing and administrative office along with an onsite gymnasium. The facility will yield a total built-up area spanning 8,600 square feet and rise to a height of 37 feet. A total of eight dormitories will be constructed. A design review for demolishing the two existing buildings and constructing the project is required. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
